Abstract

Background: Anemia in pregnancy continues to be a major global maternal health concern. It is associated with various adverse outcomes, including postpartum hemorrhage, Anemia in pregnancy is linked to several negative health outcomes, including postpartum bleeding, preterm delivery, low birth weight, and an increased likelihood of maternal mortality. In Indonesia, anemia among pregnant women remains a significant public health concern that requires proper attention and effective management strategies. remains prevalent, highlighting the need for effective prevention and management strategies. Objectives: This study was conducted to determine the factors associated with the incidence of anemia among pregnant women in 2026.Methods: An observational analytical study with a cross-sectional method was conducted among pregnant women who participated in antenatal care visits. The participants were selected using a purposive sampling method. This study examined maternal age, parity, educational level, and adherence to iron tablet supplementation as independent variables, with anemia status as the dependent variable. Data processing and analysis were performed using the Chi-square test. The results indicated that educational level, parity, and compliance with iron tablet intake had a significant association with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women. pregnant women (p<0.05). Women with lower adherence to iron supplementation had a greater likelihood of experiencing anemia compared with those who regularly consumed iron tablets.
